ceramic coating

What is a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating acts like a semi-permanent clear coat applied over your paintwork. These glass-like coatings form a strong, long-lasting bond with the surface and serve as a sacrificial layer that protects your original paint.

The coating is ultra hydrophobic, meaning it repels water and helps prevent dirt, grime, and contaminants from sticking to the surface. The result is a slick, glossy finish that’s easier to clean. Regular washing is all you need to keep your bike looking its best.

Unlike traditional waxes that wear off quickly, our ceramic and graphene coatings come with warranties ranging from 3 to 10 years depending on the level chosen.

With manufacturers applying thinner clear coats than ever before, now is the time to protect your paintwork. You’ll gain long-lasting gloss, strong environmental protection, and help retain your bike’s resale value.

FAQs

Can it be applied to mufflers and pipes?

Yes, the product is safe to apply to mufflers and chrome pipes and withstands temperatures.

How long does it take to apply and do I need to keep it dry after application?

The coating process takes between 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the motorcycle. After application, the bike must be kept completely dry for at least 72 hours. The coating continues to cure and harden during this time, so avoiding water exposure is essential.

Do I need to polish or apply wax over the ceramic coating?

No. The coatings we use will not produce black spots or leave behind any unusual marks during washing. If the bike is maintained correctly using pH-neutral products, the surface will stay clean and easy to care for.

Will black spots appear that are hard to remove?

The coatings we utilise will not produce black spots or anything unusual for that matter whilst washing the motorcycle.

What areas on my motorcycle can be coated?

We coat all paintwork, handle bars, lights, chrome, rims, pipes, mufflers, gear shifter lever, rear brake lever for complete protection.

How long does it take to ceramic coat my motorcycle and is it suitable?

The ceramic coating process takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, not including the prep work required beforehand such as washing, decontamination, and paint correction.

Ceramic coatings are not suitable for all bikes. If your paint is heavily faded, damaged, or poorly maintained, a coating will not be offered. We only apply coatings to surfaces that meet the condition standards required for proper bonding and long-term performance. This protects both your bike and the warranty.

Is any special care required?

No special care is needed, but a change in your washing habits is important to protect the coating. Always use pH-neutral products, avoid harsh chemicals, and follow safe washing methods. Regular maintenance washes will help the coating perform at its best and last as long as it should.

Annual Inspection?

As part of your ceramic coating care, we require an annual inspection of your bike to ensure the coating is still performing as it should. During this check, we assess the condition of the coating and apply a top-up if needed.

We stress this at the time of booking and again once the coating has been applied. It is a key part of the coating’s terms and conditions.

If your bike is not inspected each year, the warranty will be void.
